The UACJ Group’s environmental policy is based on “gratitude to the green Earth for providing us with a place to conduct our activities,” and the Group is committed to reducing environmental impact in every aspect of its business activities. Based on this policy, UACJ Aluminum Center undertakes the following initiatives.
To promote these efforts, we make use of aluminum’s excellent recyclability by reusing scrap generated in our processes and at customers’ sites, thereby reducing environmental impact. We also actively engage in activities such as cleaning areas around our plants, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
UACJ Aluminum Center recycles scrap generated during our processing operations and during customers’ processing. Recycling aluminum requires only about 3% of the energy needed to produce new primary aluminum. By reusing scrap within the Group, we save energy and help reduce environmental impact.
We use packaging materials that do not generate industrial waste.

At the Anjo, Shiga, and Nara plants, we are pursuing sustainable plant operations by using electricity generated from 100% renewable energy and participating in programs that allocate a portion of electricity charges to environmental protection.
1. 100% Renewable Electricity Supply
We use electricity generated from 100% renewable energy.
2. Akari no Mori Project
A portion of electricity charges is used for environmental conservation activities, contributing to SDG Goals 13, 14, and 15.
