ALmitas+ KO (highly adhesive surface-treated aluminum alloy sheets)
Highly Adhesive Surface-Treated Aluminum Alloy Sheets, ALmitas+ KO, Manufactured Exclusively by UACJ

To meet the growing demand for composite materials and reduce environmental impact, UACJ developed ALmitas+ KO, a highly adhesive aluminum sheet featuring its proprietary surface-treatment technology.
ALmitas+ KO is manufactured exclusively by UACJ. By forming an aluminum oxide film with a unique dendritic porous structure on the surface, it provides high bonding strength.
Starting with printed circuit boards, ALmitas+ KO is expected to find use in a wide range of applications.
✓ The anchoring effect of the oxide film enables bonding with plastic materials without the use of adhesives.
✓ High adhesion makes the material ideal for combining aluminum with plastic.
✓ The oxide film is thin, allowing the material to retain aluminum’s inherent thermal conductivity, heat resistance, and workability.
✓ Environmentally friendly material containing no heavy metals

Main Applications
| PCB | Commonly used and highly rated in terms of quality | |
|---|---|---|
| Architectural interior materials | Bonding substrate for decorative aluminum sheets and laminated sheets | |
| Transport panel materials | Panel bases for trucks and trains | |
| Automotive parts | Bonding of plastic and aluminum | |
| Rechargeable battery materials | Bonding bases, e.g., laminate pack and electrode tab materials | |
| Coating substrate | Chromium-free coating substrate | |
Film structure
KO treatment is a surface-treatment technology in which an aluminum sheet undergoes AC electrolysis in an alkaline electrolyte to form a unique dendritic porous film on its surface. Plastic material flows into and becomes anchored in the pores, resulting in high adhesion.
